Hello! I’m Alyssa Gaiser, Doula and Student Midwife.
I have been working in the birth world since 2013 when I started as a young doula. Seeking to learn more and serve in an even wider capacity, I began midwifery training in 2015, took a break to have a baby, then resumed in 2020 at Mercy in Action College of Midwifery. Over the past decade I’ve attended dozens of births as a doula, assistant midwife, friend and sister. I’ve also had two of my own children who were both born at home with midwives.
I believe knowledge is power and should be shared freely.
I believe birth is the place where every aspect of life intersects.
I believe every person has a right to safe and respectful care.
I believe birth is a normal physiological process.
I believe in personal bodily autonomy, informed consent, and informed refusal.

I maintain current certifications in CPR and Neonatal Resuscitation.
Although I do know midwifery skills, as your doula I will stay in my scope and refrain from performing clinical tasks or giving medical advice.
